Kefir has always been findable on the map, but only in the description sections of any particular listing.
Now we have the Raw Milk Kefir Global Map, which displays all listings submitted to the database or updated with a kefir badge.
Find raw milk kefir worldwide
Badges for cow milk kefir, goat milk kefir, sheep milk kefir, and buffalo milk kefir are now supported on the global raw milk map for all farm, retail, pickup, and delivery listings.
If your source offers raw milk kefir, use the update form for existing listings (or new submission form for new listings) and find the relevant checkboxes in the product section to indicate that your farm or retailer has these foods available.
Also adding long descriptions
In the beginning, there was only one description field. The description appeared under the farm or retailer’s contact info, also repurposed on the search results pages and meta descriptions (like the description on a social media link’s thumbnail, which are usually trimmed depending on the platform). Now there is a long description field.
The original description field will still appear in the same place, existing listings are unaffected. I would like to see the character count/ word limit shrink and become more concise.
The long description field can hold many more words, up to a short-to-medium sized blog post, and will appear right after the original description on any given listing page. We can even implement subheaders for organizing blocks into sections.
